An ASTRAEA briefing is part of the AA&D KTN/UKTI Autonomous Systems event at this year’s Farnborough Airshow. It will be held at 12:00 on Tuesday 10 July at the UKTI Stand B13, Hall 1.

In addition, consortium partner AOS is featuring its role in the ASTRAEA programme at the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) stand inside the Innovation Zone, located near the taxiways in front of the EADS pavilion.

BAE Systems recently began trials of autonomous software and cloud detection technology that together enables the avoidance of bad weather. These trials took place over the Irish Sea, with the aircraft successfully flying autonomously, with human pilot backup as a precaution.
